Entry fees: In hand classes £5 each £10 on the day: Ridden classes £8 each £12 on the day: WHP classes £10 each  £15 on the day, Disabled riders may compete in any class at £5 each unless specified.

Class 1                     LEAD REIN WORKING HUNTER PONY

A short course of fences (bottom hole) followed by an individual show.  Lead rein to be affixed to noseband.  Ponies 13hh and under.  Ponies must be led by an adult.  Riders may only compete in other lead rein classes.

 

Class 2                     BEGINNERS WORKING HUNTER PONY

A short course of fences (max height 1’6”) followed by an individual show.  Genuine beginners please.  May not compete in other WHP classes at this show.

 

Class 3                     MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND WORKING HUNTER

A short course of fences (max height 2’3”) followed by an individual show.  M&M types need not be registered.

 

Class 5                     WORKING HUNTER PONY

A short course of fences (fences 2’ to 2’6”) followed by an individual show.  For ponies 14 hh and under.

 

Class 6                     WORKING HUNTER

A short course of fences (fences 2’6” to 3’) followed by an individual show.  For horses 14.1hh and over.

 

WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP— 1st and 2nd from above classes to compete—the Champion to receive ‘The Fred Bullock memorial trophy’

Class 7                     NOVICE RIDDEN COMBINATION

Open to horses or ponies, mares or geldings, 4 years old and over, not to have been placed first in a ridden class. 

 

Class 8                     BEST SPECIAL NEEDS HORSE/RIDER COMBINATION

Open to any special needs rider from any disabled riding group, may be led.  No entry fee.

 

Class 9                     OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND TYPES

Open to small and large breed mountain and moorland ponies, registered and unregistered, riders any age.

 

Class 10                   OPEN RIDDEN SHOW HUNTER—Ride Judge: Miss G Bourne

Open Hunter,  mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, over 15hh.

 

Class 11                   OPEN RIDDEN HACKS AND RIDING HORSES—Ride Judge: Miss G Bourne

Show Riding types, hacks and riding horses, mares and geldings, 4 years old and over, 14.2hh and over.

 

Class 12                   OPEN RIDDEN COB TYPE—Ride Judge: Miss G Bourne

Native/traditional cobs or show cob types, 4 years old and over.  To be shown either with full mane, tail and feathered or hogged and trimmed. 

 

Class 13                   OPEN COLOURED HORSE OR PONY

Native or non native piebald, skewbald or spotted horse or pony, mares or geldings, 4 years old and over.

 

Class 14                   OPEN RIDDEN PART BRED AND FOREGIN BREEDS

Ridden horses or ponies, mares or geldings 4 years old and over, to be registered part bred of any breed or a registered foreign breed.

 

Class 15                   OPEN RIDING PONIES AND SHOW HUNTER PONIES

Open to riding ponies and show hunter ponies, 14.2 and under, mares and geldings, 4 years old and over.

 

Class 16                   OPEN BEST RIDER

 

Class 17                   OPEN RIDING CLUB HORSE OR PONY

Open to mares or geldings, 4 years old and over, must be a current member of a riding or pony club.

 

Class 18                   OPEN BEST FANCY DRESS

May be split for special needs if enough entries.

SUPREME RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP—Champions and Reserves only to compete—to be held at the end of all classes.  Trophy, Sash and rosette to winner.  Sash and rosette to Reserve.
